Pregnant women and families with children ages birth to five years old. 

How early can I join Tiwa Babies?

You can join Tiwa Babies as soon as you find out that you are going to have a baby! Or you can join anytime up until your child’s fourth birthday. 

Do you have to live on the reservation?

No. Home visitors provide services in all of Taos County.

Are there any costs involved?

None. Tiwa Babies is grant funded and offered at no cost to all families.

Do I have to be a first time parent to join?

No. Our services are offered to all families, whether it’s your first child or your fifth.

Are any of your clients dads?

Absolutely! Tiwa Babies is a program for all parents; this includes moms, dads, foster and adoptive parents, even grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.

Are there places other than my home that we can meet?

Yes, visits can take place at any location you choose (parks, library, etc.).

What will I get out of this program?

You will learn about your child’s growth and development, from the time s/he is in the womb until s/he is 5 years old. We will provide you with the tools your family needs to establish, maintain, and achieve a healthy lifestyle. We can also help you find other resources in the community and connect you with those services.
